"Tokyo international animated cartoon fair 2008" was held during 27th 30th in March of 2008 in Tokyo Big Site in Tokyo and the wan morning moon. Studio Ghibli was exhibited, and big Totoro was floating and was remarkable on the booth that had been constructed in the vicinity of the entrance of the hall. Held Jo Hisaishi concert, Studio Ghibli, and the layout exhibition were notified of beforehand to the start Ghibli and museum of Ghibli of "Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea" "Sky Crora" in the booth in the introduction of the work that did production and the summer of 2008.

The festival of "Mitaka Awaodori" has been held in the Tokyo Mitaka city with the Ghibli museum in the summer of every year. It drinks and Matsri takes pride in a near history for 40 years. This..Ghibli..museum..staff..participate.Though the unit of the dance is called, "Ream", participates by "Ren" that is tens of groups, and competes for the dance, the staff in the Ghibli museum is participating in "Ren of the Mitaka city public office" among these. They say that they paint the interval of work, begin the preparation for several months, and prepare in the festival.

Moreover, event "Forest festival of Mitaka" of the Mitaka commerce and industry association sponsoring is held in the Inokashira park in autumn. This is said the event that started in commemoration of opening the Ghibli museum, and becomes the seventh times in 2007. This time, besides a spiritedness such as Takenacaesat and Cmakianzsat musician concentrates, the band in the Ghibli museum also performs, the theme tune of the Ghibli work is performed by medley, and it is popular.

In the Tokyo Subway, the stamp rally that commemorates holding "Picture workman of Ghibli the Oga Kazuo exhibition" held by the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo is executed from Saturday, July 21, 2007 to Sunday, September 30. When this stamp rally buys the special day that Tokyo Subway puts on the market ticket, "Stamp notebook with the seal" is handed. When the stamp more than six stations of eight stations (Ueno and Otemachi, Hibiya, Iidabashi, Nagata-cho, Meiji-jingumae, Toyosu, and lucidity Shirakawa) that become the point stations is stamped, the one that "Specially-made passing case" can be gotten as a commemorative gift. The day ticket is the one of a special specification from which the background picture of the Oga Kazuo exhibition is designed. The logo of Studio Ghibli is printed as for the passing case. It is said that the entrance discount privilege of the Oga Kazuo exhibition is received when this day ticket is presented.

"Picture workman of Ghibli the Oga Kazuo exhibition" is held by the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo until Saturday, July 21, 2007 Sunday, September 30. This exhibition:To exhibit a temple as for the work 600 points or more of Mr. Oga Kazuo from whom the overall cooperation of the forest Ghibli museum in Studio Ghibli and Mitaka is received and the background of the animated film of Studio Ghibli had been drawn over many years like "It is and is" Princess Mononoke of the My Neighbor Totoro etc.Of course, variegated it was the taking a picture corner the paper folding experience corner in it was, and there was Totoro's stuffed animal and the content, too and to enjoy in families, the screening corner was devised about animation besides the exhibition of the background picture (Partially of the hall, taking a picture was OK). Therefore, it becomes popular as the buying tickets waiting and the entrance waiting can be formed a line every day for the holding period. It is said that the row of three hours was able to be done only by the entrance waiting when it is long occasionally.

Studio Ghibli was exhibited, and big Totoro was floating and was remarkable on the booth that had been constructed in the vicinity of the entrance of the hall. In the booth besides the promotion of DVD from which the forest museum in Mitaka is put on the market in July, the introduction and 2007 of the done animation work of production "Ibarard time" is done, it was set up only though the number of introduction boards concerning the "Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea" was one.
