The position of the pectoral of Clupeiformes is low, and Clupeiformes has the pectoral around blood relation of the stomach. Most kind of Clupeiformes is blue in the back side, and a ventral is silver-white. Child fish is called "Whitebait" with semitransparency. It makes a crowd with the outer layer of the offing from the coast and lives and eats plankton mainly. This group includes a lot of important kinds as a fishery resource.
