Insect Stamp of Portugal

Portugal is in the mainland at the west end of the Iberian Peninsula bordered by Spain, and is a country consisting of Madeira and Azores archipelagos on the Atlantic. It have the history influenced by Roman Empire before A.D., Muslims after A.D., and it is the twelfth century that it was born as a kingdom. It went abroad as a marine kingdom over the 16th century from the 15th century and competed with Spain for ascendancy, but Brazil which was the greatest colony became independent in 1822. The 20th century began, the African countries including Guinea-Bissau and Mozambique were separated from rule of Portugal, and Macao that was an overseas territory was returned to China in 1999. It switched over from monarchy to the republic in 1910.
