Konan-16を使う フィルムカッター

2種類のフィルムカッターをご紹介します．

1. ローリングカッター改造
　Konan-16 automatやKiev-30には16mmフィルムが必要です。 今も長巻の16mmフィルムは入手できるようですが、種類も限られていて、 しかも長過ぎます。気軽に色んなフィルムを楽しむにはフィルムカッターが不可欠です。

　私も試してみました。切れ口は滑らかで良いのですが、暗室作業の見えないなかで、 長距離の直線性を出すのが難しいようです。 もう少し、ガイド部分を長くすると良いのかもしれません。
　実際上は、後日ご紹介するシュレッダー改造フィルカッターの方が便利です。 なお、一枚目にはKiev-30も写っています。レンズ直前の金属枠は外した方が無難です。 レンズの周りは、つや消し黒塗装で反射を不要な反射を防いでいます。


Before using 16 mm cameras such as Konan-16 automat, it is necessary to prepare 16 mm film. However, nowadays it is rather difficult to find 16 mm films. For professional use, there is still some product of 16 mm films, but the film type is very limited. Then the most convenient way is cutting film by yourself. For this purpose, we need a film cutter. Here is an example of hand made film cutter for 16 mm film. So-called rolling cutter shown in the photographs is available at a stationery shop. Adding a guide like in the photographs, it is easy to make a film cutter. When you make it, I recommend you longer metal guide to get straight edge. (This example seems rather short.)



1. 100円シュレッダーー改造
　一見、ダイソーに売っている100円シュレッダーですが、16mm フィルムカッターです。
This is apparently a very small shredder sold in 100 Yen shop, 1 dollar shop. However, this is a 16 mm film cutter.



　よくみると刃がまびきされていて約16mm間隔でならんでいます。入り口のスリット幅も、 すこし広げて120フィルムがちょうど入るようになっています。 中をみてみると、このようです。
If you check carefully the arrangement of circular cutting edges, you may notice the edges are located with approximately 16 mm separation. This is a modified shredder. You can insert 120-type film.


　改造は、比較的簡単、刃の間隔をワッシャやパイプで調整して、取り付けるだけです。 予め紙を切ってみて良く切れる刃を選んで、それを使うとよいでしょう。
The modification is not so complicated. You need to remove unnecessary cutting edges, and adjust separation by putting pipes and washers.

ふた側は、くしを少しまびいておきます。 かなり直線的に切れますし、暗室では、フィルムを差し込んで、ハンドルを回転するだけですから、 作業は容易です。使用例が次の写真です。Konan-16 automatやKiev-30で問題なく使えました。 ただし、もう少し切り口が滑らかなら言う事なしなんですが。
　このフィルカッターの使い方ですが、暗室で120フィルムを2等分して、 約40cmのもの2本にします。それぞれを4４分割しますから、120フィルム1本から、20枚撮りが8本とれます。
　なお、このフィルカッターの原案はどこかのホームページに出ていたものですが、 今や出典不明です。どなたか、お教えくだされば幸いです。
The operation in a darkroom is so simple, and you only need to insert a 120-type film and simply rotate the handle. Before doing so, I recommend you to cut a 120-type film into two pieces of which length is approximately 40 cm. From one 120-type film, you can get eight 16mm films, each of which includes 20 pictures. Then this is very economical.
