Aldrovanda vesiculosa

The Aldrovanda vesiculosa is an insectivorous plant of the water life and is called "Mujinamo" in Japan. It becomes extinct from the Japanese spontaneous generation place and is meaningful plant of an only currently cultivated. Because it likes poor nourished water , there seems to be many cases that It is supposed that it doesn't grow up well with a comparatively well nourished tank of aquaticplants. It likes an environment of much plankton and water flea. Accordingly there seem to be many successful examples that it was sent to the case which soil of a rice field was put in, and was brought up outdoors. It likes high water temperature comparatively (25-30‚b). I cultivate this plant in a water tank between several years however (now in the tank of tonina sp). This tank is filtered with Fluval 403 by size 60*45*45 cm. The water is pH=6.0, GH=0-1, KH=0-1, conductivity=130-150 microS. Although the Aldrovanda vesiculosa grew up to 52 cm in a water tank by my thing and time, there is the time too when a thing of 5 cm has become only three of them. It is perfect to spend water flea to cultivate it in a water tank, but isn't always need. This insectivorous plant eats snails too in a water tank. The supplying of nutrient of degree that is an cultivating with the water tank which isn't of any plankton and water flea will be necessary even if it is said that it likes water poor nourished.
