Aoshima is famous for their excellent curbside models, and the Pathfinder
is a good example. The chassis and suspension are sharply molded, and the break
details are included. The wheels and tires are wonderfully done, and the front
wheels are posable. |
The one piece body is beautifully
done. The grille and bumpers are separate, and all lenses are clear. The fender
flare are separate, so they can be painted separately. The kit comes with many
optional parts such as the animal guard and lights. |
My interest is not limited to sports and race cars, but SUV and luxury
cars attract me also. This model was the first SUV I put together, and it turned out
well. The body was painted with Poly-S paint, and Testor's clear over coat was used
as usual. |

I didn't use all the optional parts, but I only added the front bumper
guard and fog lights.

Where to buy the Pathfinder kit
Aoshima products are available from your local hobby store in the U.S.
through American SATCO http://www.americansatco.com
or well stocked online hobby stores such as Hobby Link Japan http://www.hlj.com
and Rainbow Ten http://www.rainbowten.co.jp
The Pathfinder is marketed as Terrano in Japan, so use it as a key word
when searching for the model. |
