Tsu-jun-kyo Bridge

It was completed in 1854.
It's 248.0 feet long,
20.6 feet wide,
66.2 feet high.
It's cultural property of Japan.

The villagers in part "Shiraito" of "Yabe" were poor,
because they were poor in water.
Yasunosuke, who had been the chief of the village,
had built this bridge with stoneworkers,
in order to transport water to the village.
Thanks to this bridge,
the villagers had become well-to-do.

It's necessary to drain sometimes,
in order to take pebbles and sand away,
that stay in the water pipe.
Now, it drains often for tourists.
