Welcome to my home page. There are some oil-finished decoys, urushi(Japanese lacquer)-finished decoys and some crafts which I made with my daughters.
None of my decoys are painted colorfully so that you can enjoy the real flavor of various woods.
Steps of making decoys are (1)Get a good material of wood (2)Saw with sweat at the garden (3)Hit a chisel with mallet with power (4)Make it smooth by rasp with care (5)Beautiful surface by sand paper (6)Last finish with oil or urushi.
I make only few decoys in a year but continued almost ten years from the beginning. Making a decoy is not easy but it's a great pleasure for me to complete and upload to the Internet.
