acerina(family: Ranunculaceae) Japanese name: Sarasina-syouma This plant grows at the shade of deciduous trees forest of mountainside. Japanese name is from followings.This plant is one of the edible wild plants, soaking this young leaves in cold water to make it crisp before eat. Sarasina means the soaked-leaves.Syouma is the name of Chinese harb medicine, which is made by dehydrated root stock of this plant. They say that this medicine effects alleviation of fever and antidote.The 2nd photo left is at Mt. Ibuki, and you can see magnificient scene of this flower. |
