Erythronium
japonicum(family: Liliaceae) Japanese name: Katakuri This plant grows at the shade of trees, throughout the country. Many old Japanese poems, which admire the beautty of this flower are left. In old days they made starch from the root of this plant, but nowadays starch maybe made from potato. But in Japan if we say Katakuri it normary means starch-flour. |
