· Joe plays only on 4,8 & 10 with Yoshiko Goto-(vocal); Ray Brown-(bass).
Other musicians of the note; Jimmy Rowls, Mike Wofford-(piano); Paul Humphries, John Guerin-(drums)
Recorded on April 21,1972.
@(according to Japanese mag. "jazz" No.14, it said recording date were "April 20 & 21". / May 3, '21/Tabo)
· This record was issued from Nippon Columbia Co., Ltd on Dec.,'75. The record was sold only in Japan and of course out of print now. And I think the album was never issued as CD format. I happend to find this album at the second-hand book store near from my house in yesterday . . . the shop did "closing sale" and just found it. what a great coincidence, it is !!! (Jul. 18, '02)

Yoshiko+Jim

· I met with Yoshiko Goto and Jim Hughart on Mar. 22nd, '05 here in Japan.
I asked Yoshiko how did she choose the musician, did she know Joe Pass in person already, how was the recording etc. She answered,
"Well about the muscian, Ray decided them . . . . I know Joe's name and that he is a great guitarist but never met him before this recording . . . . the recording was just like seeing the great dream!! (Joe plays with Yoshiko and Ray on 3 tunes) Ray played the piano and Joe followed the guitar, they talking about the arrangement, then I sang with them. About the other tunes(with Rhythm section), I felt their power was too much for me, so I asked Ray, 'I want to overdub on the rhythm section', then Ray answered, 'Yoshiko, just like lovers. You SHOULD join and sing with them together' . . . so I did it. Really it was a dreaming session !!"
Yoshiko is the only Japanese singer recorded with Joe Pass! (Apr. 2. . . not April fool ! , '05)
