· Joe is heard on Side Two Part.1 with George "Harmonica" Smith-(vocal) and Part 2.High Society with Alton Redd-(drums); Bernard Carrere-(trumpet); Joe Darensbourg-(clarinet); John Ewing-(trombone); Alton Purnell-(piano) . . . But, Joe was credited on "High Society" as the bassist !! "Joe Passalaque:bass" I think Bob Thiele misspeled Joe's name consciously. ("Passalaqua" is right) Joe plays Dixieland style bass on the first half of "High Society" and replaced by Tom Williams on the second half.
· Other musicians are Tom Scott, Chuck Domanico, Howard Roberts, Gary Coleman, Jimmy Gordon, Buddy Childers, Paul Hubinon, Gary Barone, Bobby Brookmeyer, Mike Barone, George Bohanon, Ernie Tack, Bob Henderson, Bill Perkins, Pete Christleib, Jim Horn, John Guerin, Bobby Bradford, Horace Tapscott, Tom Williamson, Buzz Freeman, Elvin Jones, Joe Farrell, Wilbur Little, Rosko,Ornette Coleman, Charles Moffett, David Izenzon and Charlie Haden.
Recorded on 1969.
