Produced by Richard Bock & Sonny Knight.

· I found the compilation Album of Sonny Knight titled "confidential" (R&B Records/ R&B-107) at eBay auction in late Aug. 2012. It said, "SONNY KNIGHT - ~ R&B 107 {nm} [1953 - 1964] w/JOE PASS >VERY RARE", so I asked the seller which tune(s) did Joe take part in. The seller answered Joe was credited on the Last tune only. So I bought the album. (Thanks, Paul !)

Above photo shows the personel of the last tune ("Coldest Cat In Town") and it is the same take as one in "If You Want This Love" (This album)
Above "Session Details" by Sonny Knight, himself and Bill Miller and Ray Topping.
Then I searched old Billboard Mag.
I found 7 inch single of "I Just Called To Say Hello/If You Want This Love" on their June 27 issue ('64), and then I found the ad of the Album on their Nov. 7 issue as below.

So, I think Richard Bock (the producer of the record) made 7inch single first, and made the album later.
The album was recorded at World Pacific Studio, so I suppose Richard Bock might say, "hey Joe ! if you have a spare time, why don't you help this recording session ?" (not sure but there was a possibility)
7 inch single ranked No.91 on Oct. 10, '64 on Billboard Mag. and raised to No.71 on Dec. 12, '64.

I conclude the things that Joe was credited on "Coldest Cat In Town", there are possibilty that Joe took part in every tunes of "If You Want This Love" album.
Unfortunately, there are no typical Joe's guitar phrases, though. (Sep. 8, '12)
