· According to the discography of Chris Sheldan on Jazz Jounal(May, '76),the musicians are; Bud Shank-(flute); Joe Pass, John Pisano-(guitar); Charlie Haden-(bass); Larry Bunker-(drums)(noted Sept. 5 ,'02)
Recorded at World Paciffic Jazz Studios in Hollywood, 1963. --->I noticed the liner note said, "Recently, President Johnson brought up once again the subject of poverty in the United States". It was quoted from "The State of The Union Message" by Lyndon Johnson (Jan. 8th, 1964) So I believe the recording date was Jan. 1964.
And Sierra Records issued "Sixties Transition: Rare L.A. Session Tapes" in 2007. In which Joe Pass plays 1 track titled "Charisma" with Bud Shank and David Crosby. John Delgatto, the founder and owner of Sierra Records, made me know as, "The song Charisma is the exact same song that appeared on the "Folk N Flute" album that Jim Dickson produced for World Pacific. Jim had the original tapes. The song appears on the album as "Charis" but that was incorrect. Jim spoke to Bud several years before either of them passed away and Bud told Jim that the song was actually titled "Charisma" and he and David Crosby wrote the song." (Thanks John !!/Feb.21, 2012)
