6.Ruthe Berkus(Jul. 21):
I enjoyed the marvelous talent of Joe Pass whenever I could. My husband and I heard him at the Hollywood Bowl several times and at the Lowes Hotel in Santa Monica at a special concert. He once played a solo at the Hollywood Bowl. He was on the stage all alone and not a sound other than his wonderful music was heard. It was so beautiful, it made me cry. I will never forget that night. Of all the concerts I have attended, I think that one stands out in my memory as the most exciting.
7.Angelo Ortiz(Aug. 18): Thank you Joe for your music.

16.Jay Elkins(Oct. 5): Having been a fan of Joe's work for the past 40 years, I decided recently to visit his gravesite, and found myself much more upset than I thought I would. It was in my later years as a guitarist and teacher that I came to understand the fathomless depth of Joe's abilities and gifts, and perhaps it takes that long for any of us to comprehend anything of that magnitude.
17.Duane Dungee(Oct. 6): Thanks for the beautiful artistry Joe! Your expression preserved in your recordings are an inspiration!
18.Hadi Daher (OCt.10): i'm 21 years old, i'm from lebanon, a place somewhere in the middle-east. i started listening to jazz a year ago, and this is how it all started; i was into rock and metal music, but one day i decided to check out what Jazz meant; i went to a music store in beirut and asked for the Jazz section for the first time. i didn't want to look like it was my first visit to that section, so i rapidly grabbed the first CD i saw, and it accidently was Joe Pass- Unforgettable (august 1992)...i knew nothing about this guy, but when i listened to Joe's version of Round' Midnight(track 7), i got the whole idea...since then i became a collector of his albums; in one year i got all of Joe's solo work and a part of his shared records (all the albums recorded between 1982 and 1993; from "exemious" in may 25 and july 8 1982 to "Ray Clark and Joe Pass Play Hank Williams" in 1993).i don't wanna talk about him as a musician coz i'm not supposed to, i just wanna say that Joe Pass means more to me than just a talented genius musician, he is all that i know about music...thanks alot Joe...May your sole rest in peace.

33.Andy Giacobbe(Jan. 22) :
I met Joe in 1970, became a close friend until his passing. He stayed at my home in Massachusetts many times. On the day he passed he was scheduled to be playing at Scullers Jazz Club in Cambridge Mass. My wife was already starting to prepare his favorite meal (pasta) when we heard the sad news of his hospitalization, then his death. We spent many, many hours together. We drove together several times from Boston to New York, to Montreal, to Vermont, to Maine and sevearal other destinations. Joe was a joy to be around, I could probably write a book about the amusing experiences that I reflect on. I still mourn the loss of my great friend.

This message is for Mr Pass,one of the greatest guitar players ever - I do take this opportunity to thank him for having teached me how to play music in the vertical and horizontal way with all that comes with it... I proudly play guitar on a Joe Pass Model! Thank You Joe!
Yours forever Andy
51.Luigi Pati(Apr. 21): I have never listened to much jazz,I have always preferred classical. I have been a guitarist for a few years and it's been 2 years I decided to break my own limits.
When I saw Joe Pass playing on the video 'The Genius of Joe Pass',I was SHOCKED! Here was him,this unassuming and modest person playing always with such expression,tecnique,consistency,incredible skill and sheer substance(and improvised!!! unbelievable!)that he is an ispiration to me even though I am no jazz musician.
Joe Pass was the Mozart of Jazz guitar. A true virtuoso with shocking natural skill,a mastermind of Jazz. He fascinates me a lot,as I am sure fascinates so many people and his genius will transcend past present and future.
          Luigi Pati
