1. ken scott (May 25):
To all of Joe's family. I met Joe once and we had a chat. He was
really kind and generous to me but more than that I still get
goose bumps listening to Joe in full flight. As I write this I am
copying my "Tudo Bem" LP to my computer and still after years
of practicing I can't get close to Joe's ability!! What a sad and
premature loss it was when Joe died.

Best regards

Ken

Oh Joe. . . Man I wish you were here.. .
You always had compassion for a fellow guitarist trying to make it in this world. I had so many questions about how to paddle through the shark infested waters. . . I'll always be grateful for the time you spent with me, coming over to my studio having dinner with my friends etc. You have no idea how that lifted my spirits. God bless you Joe. I know you must be in a much better world that down here. Your music will live forever. Love ya Joe.

I attended a clinic he gave in Buenos Aires and had the chance to hear him live when he played in a venue of our city. I exchanged a few words with him and he thanked me for a photo I had arranged as a humble homage to him including an acoustic guitar and the covers of his LP's.
15. David Walker (Aug. 22): Thank you for your website. Joe lives on through his music. He inspires me, and will continue to throughout my life I am sure. He was not only amazingly gifted, but he actually DID something with his gift! In addition to recording music I enjoy everyday, he took the time to create materials to teach me (if on a smaller scale) to play the way he did. I thank God for Joe Pass.
16. Corrado (Sep. 6): Joe, I live on the other coast now, but you were my first guitar inspiration and remained one of my favorite people.
I remember chatting with you before a concert at Yoshis in Oakland CA, without recognizing who I was talking to. Thank you for the sushi suggestion :) I felt really silly when I asked your name and you answered "Joe", and proceeded to walk on stage. But you always were just a regular guy with an otherwordly gift
