35. Frank Legato (Mar. 5): I first knew of Joe Pass from the book I worked on during guitar lessons - "Guitar Duets by Joe Pass and Herb Ellis." Back in the '70s, I bought the album "Two for the Road" by that amazing duo - still one of my favorites. But his body of work is probably the best in jazz - He invented jazz guitar. Thanks, Joe!

I met Joe though Tommy Tedesco,Tommy said Joe was the best,the first lesson with Joe was about four hours long,I"m thinking this is going to cost a lot,after were done I asked him how much I owed him he says man I"m hungry you owe me dinner,and promise me you wont forget what I taught you,and tell Tommy he owes me dinner too,Joe was so good to sit next to him and play with him was one of the best moments of my life,I think about him all the time,my love to his family
