Body Work　（下の英語は難しすぎて訳せませんでした。）

SpecThe modification of my original but rusty 1981 1500 X19 took about 4 years to complete. The body has been modified to get rid of any unnecessary bits of body plastic ( note the absence of any turn indicator repeater moldings and 1500 bumpers and bumper moldings). The roll over bar was cut with an angle grinder and only then were the outer wings removed to enable a chassis to strengthen the tub. This runs from site to side ( providing the mountings for the 4 point harnesses) and from front to rear through the sills. The outside wings were the re attached and modified with 8 specially made panels. The transversent panel ( at the top of the seats) is in three pieces, which brings the old parcel shelf up to the level of the wings.

The rear was also cleaned up with the welding of any mounting holes. The twin 2 exhausts exit the car from cutouts in the rear valance grill. The original exhaust cutout being re-modeled.

The front of the car is fitted with 1300 side/indicator lights, with a 6 piece front open mouth and bib spoiler. The front mouth was modeled on a Ferrari 355. All external badges and decals have been removed and welded/ filled.

メカニカルスペック
ほとんどすべての部品に何らかの変更をしている。
ホイールは14インチにアップしランチアの物を使用。
サスペンションは１インチローダウン。コニの減衰圧調整付きショック。（スペシャルDだな。）
ステアリングはラックをよりクイックなものへ。
車庫入れなどは重たいが、非常にクイック。
ブレーキキャリパーはフロントをノーマルの新品に、
リアは強力な奴に交換。
ローターはタロックスの12本溝が入ったやつ
ラジエターはSERCK製ツインファンで片方は手動スイッチ。
エンジンはウノ1300ターボ、ハイカムブーストコントローラーは15PSIまで
しかし、壊したくないので通常10PSIにとどめている。
The EMS has been chipped with a SupaChip. （すみません英語解らないもんで、どう訳したら良いのでしょうか）
エキゾーストはランド・ローバーから取ってきたものを改造。
音は非常にでかい。
オイル用とターボ用インタークーラーがエンジンの上に付く、エンジンフードにはエアスクープ。すべてのブラケットやエンジンマウントのたぐいは手作りによる。

私はこのX1/9を今年の３月から乗っているが、9500マイル走ってみて、大きなトラブルといえばオルタネーターがパンクしたこと、それにヘッドライトの調整スクリューが回らなくなったことぐらいだ。
　
すべての作業は塗装も含めて自宅のガレージで行なった。
