River Prayer

Silence prevails, roaring
The wind dwells there

In the flowing wind
I dreamt a dream
Of a shifting water

I was hearing its words
In the distant stream
That mustn't be slaughtered

It streams as "!che sarà sarà¡"
Far and farther away...

What is always left
In these hands of mine
Is just a drop of water
I miss you my daughter

Although it was a dream
It just reflected me
Because it was a dream
Nothing got wet and...

Scooping up silence
Though it sifts thru my fingers
Flood of thoughts linger
In the place where the wind dwells

Let it stream
as "che sarà sarà"
To the river, onto the ocean, up to the sky
like "che sarà sarà"

Some other day, back to the wind
By God I swear
Every one will hear it coming in
A River Prayer
