Don Friedman and Eiji Nakayama Duo had a newcomer from 1988
in the person of Eliot Zigmund.
The new group Special Trio made a sense of tour.
Eliot was a member of the trio of Bill Evans (piano)
and pure bred New Yorker, Good personality.

The trio enjoyed a full house in Koide, Niigata and other townships wherever we went.

A piece of recording was titled gLegend of the Lakeh and released in September, 1989.

In the autumn of the following year the album was good sales,
so we gave the second concert tour.

Welcome homeh was uttered by people who came.
Unforgettable words still staying in my ears.

After the concert we had an autograph session in the lobby.
As I today listen to the live recording of that evening.
I feel like thinking that our trio with Don, Eliot,
and I had the very summit of our performance as a trio!

put I an end to the three years activity the trio of three years,
and went to assembling the New
York quartet for my evolution as a musician.
