Bieifuji (1888m) 美瑛富士岳  Bieidake (2052.3) 美瑛岳　

This was our second overnight camp.  We started at Bogakudai and climbed to the top of Tokachidake (4 hours).  We then walked along the ridgeline, past Hiragatake and Nokogiridake to Bieidake.  Bieidake is a short detour off the track, but we were making good time so we climbed it (only 15 minutes from the trail). 

We ran into a bit of trouble at the Bieifuji Shelter Hut Junction.  Even though we had good maps, we somehow found ourselves going straight when we should have gone right. We came back to the junction and then went left.  It was probably and hour later that we realize our mistake.  When I say "our" I actually mean "my" but lets not get into that.

We arrived at the hut to find it very full.  Luckily we had our tent with us and quite happily had supper, sake and sleep.

The next morning we took an hour or so to go up and down Bieifuji (which we'd inadvertently started climbing the previous day) and made our way back to Bogakudai.
