Mr. and Mrs. Greenwood first visited Mt. Koubou east of city of Hatano to see Cherry blossoms. But they left it because of noisy Karaoke performed there. Then they moved to Yanagawa village west of Hatano. There they found a utopian land.
Yellow Route
The village stays in a calm basin. Farmer's houses are surrounded by a mosaic of rice paddy, vegetable field and tea plantation. But this secret place will soon be destroyed by the construction of second highway connecting Tokyo and Osaka. In the return trip, they stopped at Hakusenji temple to see 100 years old cherry blossom tree.
