On May 26, 2004, wakwak climbing club visited Mt. Nasu. Mt. Nasu is composed of Mt. Chaus(1,898m), Mt. Asahi(1,896m), Mt. Kumamisone(1,900m), and Mt.Sanbonyari(1,917m).
First Day
They first climbed Mt. Chausu. from there they saw Mt. Asahi

Mt. Chaus is still active volcano and could see steam and toxic gas coming out from the earth.

At your north you can see Minenochaya and Mt. Sanbonyari.

From Minenochaya, you can enjoy wild Myobanzawa valley.

They climbed down the other side of the valley towards, Sandogoya Hotspring where they planned to stay over night.

Sandogoya Hotspring is an old hotspring found in 1142. Because of the remote place, power is generated by diesel and solar cell.

Second Day
They started climbing at 6:45. When they reached Inkyogura peak, they could see magnificent view of Mt. Chaus where they visited yesterday.

Then they walked through Shimizu highland and finally reached the summit of Mt. Sanbonyari which was covered by clouds.

They climbed down through beautiful hardwood forest and finally reached Kitaonsen where they can pickup public transportation means.
