Kaizu Castle, Kawanajima Battle Field

Mr. Greenwood visited Kaizu Castle, Kawanajima Battle Field with his school mates in October 13 to 14, 2007.

 

Kazurao Castle & Kougai no Watashi

During railway trip to Kamiyamada hot spring, I saw Kazurao Castle and Kougai ferry which were first battle ground between loard Takeda and loard Uesugi.

 

Shiozaki Castle and Fuse Battle Field

A Group for Pilgrimage around 33 Temples in Shinano walked through Fuse Battle Field and Shiozaki Castle.

Kaizu castle

Other group visited Kaizu castle and Hachimanpara Battle field. They passed by Amemiya ferry and Mt. Saijyosan which was also a temporaly castle of Uesugi.

Grave of Yamamoto Kansuke

We visited a grave of Yamamoto Kansuke who died here as a strategist for the most famous Kawanakajima battle.

Hachimanpara Battle Field

Hachimanpara Battle Field was a center of Kawanakajima battle. My mother was born very near here. In Hachimanpara Battle Field, there is a monument in memory of poet Kamemaru and Kamesaku. They are ancestors of my mother.
