Shops in Kamakura-yama

Kamakura-yama residential area and connecting road was developed in 1930s by a businessman called Mr.Sugawara. After his death, his house was used as a Japanese restaurant called Sankien.

A cherry tree lined road runs in Kamakura-yama area. Along this road there are many shops and restaurants.

Bon Jours pecialize for home made bread. Kamakura-yama residents very fond of it.

When you visit Kamakura-yama in cherry blossom season, you should stop at "Anna French" where you can have a rest and take a cup of coffee.

There is another rest house called "Holt House" run by Mrs. Fusako Holt,   an author of a  famous cook book. A view from here is magnificent.

If  you go beyond Holt House through unpaved road, you can find  Sanshyodou. It is a typical Japanese restaurant. You have to make an advanced reservation.
