Photograph and video in "Seven Mile Beach Live" were taken by conventional digital camera, edited and uploaded in the last 3 years. Therefore, it was almost impossible to update daily. This is no use for surfers who loves Seven Mile Beach.
Mr. Greenwood started using Qcam Express from Logicool from March 2002. It is directly connected to PC. Although quality of the image is poor and avi video size is larger, he found daily operation is easier.

From June 9, 2004, he decided to automate updating current image of the beach in every 10 minutes using an automated image capture and uploading software, called ListCam2000. Same online camera by Logicool is used as before. Dell's Dimension 4100 is dedicated for camera use. HD and CRT are set to automatically fell into sleep.
