Like pilgrimage around 33 temples in Saigoku and pilgrimage around 88 temples in Shikoku Island, a pilgrimage around 33 temples in Bando(Kanto plane) also became popular about 800 years ago. Total walking distance is about 1,148㎞ and takes 45 days to walk. Due to urbanization, walking around 33 temples in Kanto plane is not enjoyable like Shikoku but still there are some people to challenge. Mr. Greenwood is one of them. His plan is to use public transportation means like rail and bus and visit those places within 12 days.
