Now and Then of Seven Mile Beach
Length of the "Seven Mile Beach" is only 3 km. It was named after old unit used long time ago. It has a long history. It was a battle ground in 12 th. century, proto-feudal times. In the Edo era, it was a sight seeing spot together with Enoshima Island. After Meiji, it has been a resort place. Now it is an urban area. Still in the week end many people visit this place for refreshment.
