1979年5月ティール生まれのオランダ人シンガー。オランダのポップミュージックのジャンルのひとつで「オランダ演歌」とも囁かれている levenslied (en: life song) の代表的なミュージシャン André Hazes のものまねシンガーとしてデビュー。André の1986年のヒット曲 Jij denkt maar dat jij alles mag van mij (en: You think you know everything but that is fine by me)のカバーが思いのほかヒットしたことで、シンガーとして本格的に活動することになる。
