English name:
This species occurs in eastern Asia. Looks similar to Gonepteryx rhamni and sometimes both butterflies can be seen at the same time.

English name:
This is a widespread species and commonly seen in Japan. This species is multi-blooded, while another Colias, Colias palaeno, which can be seen in the high mountain area of Honshu, is single-blooded.
The Japanese name means yellow butterfly with marks.
