Japanese name: Tengu-cho
English name: Nettle-tree butterfly
This species occurs from the northern Africa, the southern Europe to the eastern Asia.
The Japanese name "Tengu-cho" came from the long palpi like Tengu's nose.
"Tengu" is an imaginary man-like creature with very long nose. "Cho" means butterfly.
