★小学生時代 My elementary school child age 小学生の頃は鳥取県で過ごしました。ここには少年時代の思い出がたくさん埋まっています。私は担任の先生からよく叱られる悪い生徒だったので、よく放課後に正座させられて説教を受けました。しかし、今では正座もたまらなく懐かしい思い出であり、先生も心から恩師と呼べます。 I lived in the Tottori Prefecture at the school child. It is the country in Japan there. I have a lot of memories at that time. I was not necessarily a honor student, and my homeroom teacher was often angry to me. I used to preaching by the teacher after school. But I am missing the preach very much. So I think him to be a true teacher for me.

小学校 私が在学していたころは、まだこのような木造の校舎でした。もちろん、現在は立派な鉄筋コンクリートの建物に変わっています。 Elementary school When I was a school child, the schoolhouse was still wooden. Of course, it has been changing into a splendid ferroconcrete building now.

小学校５・６年生の時には放送部にいました。給食の時間に、下校時に流すべき音楽を流してしまった失敗があります。運動会でも放送係を務めました。 I belonged to the broadcasting club in the elementary school. I made some mistakes in the club, but broadcasting was very interesting for me. I acted broadcasting agent at the athletic meet. I am operating the machine for broadcasting.

白樺の林で 鳥取県の人口は、世田谷区よりも少ない約60万人しかいません。全国的に地味なところではありますけれども、そこな豊かな自然に恵まれており、そこで一時期を過ごすことが出来て良かったと思っております。 This is a photograph taht I am posing in the woods of the white birch.The population of Tottori Prefecture is about 600,000 people. It is very sober and does not stand out there. However, it has very abundant natural environments. I am proud of the living there.

★中学生時代 My Junior high school student age 中学校ではバスケット部に所属しました。クラブ活動はそれなりに楽しかったのですが、練習はきつく、練習時間も長く、自由時間があまりとれないのが悩みの種でした。 私は持久走が得意で、市主催のマラソン大会にも出ました。私は陸上部員、野球部員と一緒にエントリーしたのですが、当日に陸上部員が出場出来なくなりました。そこで、野球部員が陸上部員として、私が野球部員として走ることになってしまいました。今にして考えると、何ともおおらかな時代でした。 I belonged to the basket club in the junior high school. The club was interesting, but the practice was severe and time was long. So I could not keep enough to free time after school. I was good at long distance run. I participated in the marathon rally which the city sponsored. In the marathon rally, the track-and-field club member and the baseball club member and I entered from our school. However, the track-and-field member was not able to participate at that day of the rally. Then, the baseball club member participated as a track-and-field member, and I participated as a baseball club member.

大山 大山は伯耆富士と呼ばれ、中国地方で最も高い山です。学校から数十分も歩けば日本海の海岸に達し、海岸線から大山を望むことが出来ました。なかなかの眺望です。 Mt.Daisen is the highest mountain in the Chugoku region, West Japan. It looks like Mt.Fuji well. We can reach the coast of the Japan Sea by 30 minutes walk. It have a good distance view of Mt. Daisen from the coastline. What a wonderful view it is!

社宅の新築により、市内の別の中学校へ転校しましたが、父の転勤によりさらに兵庫県の中学校へ転校しました。そこはとても規模の大きな学校で、田舎でのんびり過ごしていた私にとっては戸惑うことが多かったのですが、ほどなく慣れました。 I changed my school at the age of 14 because of my father transfer his job. My family moved from Tottori Prefecture to Hyogo Prefecture. The city I live newly was a big town, and the scale of junior high school was big, too. At first I was bewildered, but I have become accustomed at once.

ひそかに片想いしているクラスメイトがいました。試験の成績で彼女に勝つことが出来たら告白するつもりでいました。そのために猛勉強して、クラスで２番目の成績を挙げるまでになりましたが、それでも彼女にだけは勝つことが出来ませんでした。結局、卒業するまでついに勝てませんでした。 I had being in requited love to a classmate. She was very excellent. I was going to confess my love to her when I can exceed her by the result of the examination. I took the second result in class, but I could not exceed her. After all, I could not exceed her until graduating.

★高校生時代 My high school student age 高校では山岳部に所属したほか、生徒会活動もやりました。母校の野球部が甲子園に出た時、生徒会にいた私も何かと動員され、夏休みの大半はこれでつぶれてしまいました。しかし、炎天下の甲子園球場で母校の応援が出来たことはいい思い出になっています。 I belonged to the mountains club and the student association in the high school. The baseball club of my school participated in the Koshien rally that is a famous tournament of the prefecture opposition. Because I had belonged to the student association, so I was mobilized for the rally. Therefore, my summer vacation was spent for the mobilization.

六甲山麓でのひとコマ。山岳部とはいえ高校生ですから、あまり危険な山には行きませんでした。六甲山は標高こそあまり高くはありませんでしたが、縦走するには相当の体力を要求されます。苦痛を伴うほどきついといわれる「アゴニー坂」が特に有名です。 This is a photograph at Rokkoh mountain. We did not go to a too dangerous mountain because we were still high school students. The altitude of the Rokkoh mountain is not so high. However, there are a lot of severe routes, it needs enormous physical strength to traverse.

教室での、たそがれのひととき。 父が大阪へ転勤になったので、高校生活の後半は学校の近くで一人暮らしをしていました。明石高校には全県から生徒が集まる美術科コースがあって下宿生もちらほらいました。私が住んでいた近くにも、後輩の女の子がたくましくもアパートを借りて学校へ通っていました。 While I was attending the high school, my father transferred. It is difficult for me to commute from my house, so I rent the apartment near the school. There was an art course in the Akashi high school. The course made the whole prefecture a school district. Therefore, the students who was not able to commute are lodged near the school.

高校の屋上より、市街と海峡をのぞむ 屋上からの眺望は何よりも好きでした。本校舎の屋上に生徒会室があって、そこで暗くなる頃まで生徒総会の原稿書きをしたり、恋愛とは何かについて語り合ったりしたものです。西校舎の屋上は手すりがなく、屋上の端に立って海峡を眺めていたら、自殺志願者と間違えられたのか、先生が血相を変えて飛んできたというエピソードを作ってしまったこともあります。もちろん、あとでこってりとしぼられました。 This is town from the rooftop in my high school. The meridian of Japan passes on the Akashi town. We can see to see the Akashi strait and Awajishima from the rooftop at the school. I liked the view from the rooftop very much. The rooftop at the school had the room for the student association. I did the clerical work of the student association in the room. Still more, I discussed love in the room, too.

★上京以降 After graduates from high school 理工学部入学、法学部卒業。 I graduated from the high school and entered the university in Tokyo. 理工学部時代、測量実習の風景。奥で突っ立っているのが私です。ある実習のコースでは、山の上り下りを10センチ以内の誤差で測量しなければいけませんでした。しかし、私の班ではどういうわけか４メートル近い誤差が発生してしまいました。しかし、レポートを提出する頃までには、誤差は９センチにまで縮まっていました。世間では縮めたというかもしれません(笑)。もちろん、実習の成績は"Ａ"でした。 I experienced the practice of the measurement at the university. A course of a certain practice, it was permittes the error within 10 centimeters. The group which I had belonged had an error about 4 meters. However, the error became nine centimeters by adjusting the figure well. :)

法学部に移ってからは、雄弁会（弁論部）に所属しました。写真は、雄弁会が部室を構えていた建物です。講義がない時は専らこの部室か、神保町の古本屋街で時間をつぶしました。学園祭で余ったベニヤ板や角材を材料にして、部室の棚やロッカーをつくったりもしていました。 I belonged to the debate club at the university. In this building, there was a room of the debate club. I used to spent time without the lecture here.

雄弁会時代。 ここでは、弁論の研究をはじめ、ディベートでいかにして論敵を撃破するかなどという研究に明け暮れていたことになっております。 With synchronization companions of the debate club.I am on a right edge. I researched the speech and trained debate in the debate club. By the way, debate is not so widespread in Japan. There were not so many places to do the debate excluding the debate club.

法学部を卒業後、高校の教科書を発行している出版社に勤めました。しかし、進学するために間もなく退職、大学院で社会学を専攻しています。現在、博士課程に在学中。 I graduated from the university and found employment in the publisher. I was doing work to make the textbook for the high school there. However, I retired from the publisher to enter the graduate school. I am majoring in sociology in the graduate school now.
