NOTE

As everybody knows, she is the real-life wife of Paul Newman. Even though there might have been some influence of her husband Paul Newman for her becoming a famous actress (actually I don't know if so), there is no doubt in that she is one of the most reliable and steady actresses of her age. She won the best actress Academy Award for "The Three Faces of Eve"(1957), and nominated for several other movies, which include "Rachel, Rachel" (1968) that was directed by his husband Paul Newman himself. As I think this movie is slightly sluggish and monotonous even though it should be allowed for that the issue handled in this movie is exactly such a monotonous life, Newman's first time direction must have been saved by his wife's performance.
