NOTE

As you probably might know well, she is the daughter of Lee Strasberg who was the director of the Actors Studio and, as such, exerted tremendous influence upon the American theater at that time, and also was a stage actor (As a screen actor, you may recall his performance as a gang boss in the movie "The Godfather Part II"(1974)). Probably by this reason, it is said that she had been always wanting to become an actress before she appeared in one of Sidney Lumet's earlier products "Stage Struck"(1958) (Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to watch this movie). However, it seems something decisive was missing in her character as a top actress even if she was quite a beautiful lady. It's very sorry I must say most of her movies have been almost forgotten by now with the exception of Joshua Logan's "Picnic"(1955).
