NOTE

Of course, she became famous by appearing in the musical "Singin' in the Rain"(1952) with Gene Kelly. She seems to be always dancing in some part of any her movie even if that isn't a musical at all. For example, she is singing and dancing even in the Western movie like "How the West Was Won"(1962). As you might well know, Carrie Fisher is her daughter. But I once heard the relationship between them wasn't necessarily a good one, much the same as her other private life. Recently, I saw her in the movie "In & Out"(1997) where she played the mother of Kevin Kline who has just noticed his bisexuality, and she doesn't seem to have changed so much since her glorious days though now her figure is slightly on the fat side.
