She is the daughter of the English actor John Mills. Soon after she made a contract with Disney, she got a
special Oscar for her perfomance in "Pollyanna" (1960), and succeeded in establishing her image as an
innocent and jubilant child. But, she seems to have somehow lost her momentum after she grew up. According to Ephraim
Katz's "The Film Encyclopedia", a nude scene in the movie "The Family Way" (1967) (though I
haven't watched this movie yet) and a well-publicized love affair with Roy Boulting who was 33 years her senior
might have affected her pure child image. By the way, the person she is talking to in the image taken from the
movie "The Chalk Garden" is her real life father John Mills. Do you think they resemble each other?
