She is a comedianne, and has a remarkable talent to dislodge exact timings. In Japanese comedy tradition, there
is a comedy role called "boke", which requires an extreme talent to deliberately obfuscate the given
situation. Obviously, she has this faculty, and, I think, is a very rare presence among American performers who
has this talent, especially among actresses. She is also known as a director, though unfortunately her movie "Ishtar"(1987)
seems to be regarded as a complete failure, and a screenwriter.
