NOTE

Although I haven't as yet watched so many of her movies, it surely seems that she was one of the most popular sexpot, the most sensual one, in the 1950s and 60s with her platinum blond hair, sensual thick lip, and extremely huge bosom. Putting it in another way, she was a kind of Marilyn Monroe with ten times magnification of sexuality. But, in her case, I guess this excessive sexuality might have been deliberately given by her for the sake of self-mockery or rather self-parody. Her greatness lies in this point though this is my guess from a few films I so far watched; that is, she seems to have never taken herself so seriously and never pretended to be what she actually wasn't as if she knew exactly what sort of actress she was. But, by this very reason, she gradually, I guess, lost her popularity after 1960. She died in 1967 by a tragic automobile accident.
