To begin with, I must admit I have a slight obsession with the actresses, such as Lee Remick, who have striking
blue eyes. This is probably due to the fact that there isn't any Japanese woman (I'm a Japanese) with blue eyes,
and this fact is as hard as a rock. I think Carol Lynley's blue eyes are quite beautiful and expressive. Moreover,
she gives me a very fragile and vulnerable impression. Probably because of this, she is very good in rolls that
require sensitibity and tenderness for expressing the frailty of youthness.
I remember she played a panic-stricken ship passenger in the movie "The Poseidon Adventure"(1972). Despite
the fact Carol was around 30 when "The Poseidon Adventure" was produced, she played the most frightened
passenger on the doomed ship. Even Pamela Sue Martin, some 10 years younger than Carol, was outwardly more calm
than Lynley in the film. Following the release of "The Poseidon Adventure", she has starred only in rather
obscure movies to date.
