NOTE

There is no doubt in that Sophia Loren is the most internationally acclaimed Italian actress. Nevertheless, I haven't picked her up up until now. This is because, honestly saying as a Japanese, I always have difficulty with getting the feel of intimacy out of her, though I can't explain this in detail. But, at the same time, it also could mean she was a very powerful screen figure, so powerful that I felt something repellent (this word migntn't be proper, but I don't know other good English words to represent this feeling) in her. Anyway, as you might know well, she was one of the most distinctive international actresses who adorned 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, and appeared in dozens of famous movies. Additionally saying, her longervity as an actress is quite impressive. We can still see her in several recent movies.
