NOTE

As Kerr is essentially an actress of 1950s, I was wondering if I should include her in this article. But, anyway, finally I did, because of the fact she appeared in several movies in 1960s. Besides, she is the very person who was said to be the most notable loss in British movie history when she was taken away by Hollywood. She was nominated for Academy Award six times since the end of 1940s, but unfortunately, could never win any. If I was permited to say something about it, I would say she was wanting in a decisive factor, in other words, neither in unique personality nor in intensity. Nevertheless, there is no doubt in that she was one of the greatest actresses of all time.
