Probably the most memorable role Julie Harris ever played would be the one in Elia Kazan's "East of Eden"(1955).
In the picture above, the person she is talking to is, of course, none other than James Dean. But, her appearance
in movies was very sporadic and seems to have always been playing a somewhat neurotic spinster or something like
that especially after 1960s. Even so, she seems to have always exuded some strange appeal on the occasion of her
rare appearances on silver screen.
