NOTE

Though I designated her nationality as Belgian, I'm not so sure about it. According to "The Great Movie Stars 2", she was born in Brussels, Belgium, of Irish Dutch percentage. She has a tremendous amount of popularity in Japan (where I live) even after her demise. Her moderate character, I guess, must have been well suited to the climate of Japan. Anyway, there is no need for saying too much about her. Because everyone loves her. In 1950s and 1960s, when one should have talked about movie stars, she must have been indispensable.
