Although there are not so many of movies she is in, it's sufficient enough to mention Alfred Hitchcock cast
her twice in his 1960s' movies. I always feel something out of sync about her despite the fact she is quite a beautiful
blond actress. When the movie "Marnie" (1964) was about to be shot, there were rumors going around (so
described on the package of the VHS tape) that Grace Kelly would come out of retirement to play the title role.
But, I think, at least in this movie's case, the selection of Hedren was quite correct. Because the title role
requires something incoherent and something out of sync that are definitely not the property of Grace Kelly's but
the one of Hedren's. Needless to say that the actress Melanie Griffith is her daughter, and the mother and the
daughter co-stared in the movie "Pacific Heights" (1990).
