Joan Greenwood
(1921-1987)

The Importance of
Being Earnest (1952)

Mysterious Island
(1961)

The Moon-Spinners
(1964)

NOTE

She is an utterly beautiful British actress. However, her most characteristic feature is her voice. The tone of her voice is so low that it seems as if everything around her was going to reverberate by some synchronizing effect with her voice. In spite of her beauty, her milieu seems to have been in commedy area, considering the fact that she appeared in such highly-acclaimed British comedy movies as "Whisky Galore"(1949), "The Man in the White Suit"(1950), "The Importance of Being Earnest"(1952) "The Detective"(1954) and "Tom Jones"(1963).
