How can I register for the symposium?

Admission to the symposium is free. As seating is limited, pre-registration by June 1 is advised. On-site registration is also possible on a space available basis.

For an auto-reply registration / reservation form, send a blank message to registration-form@linguapax-asia.org.

To register for Linguapax Asia 2005, please provide the following information: (1) family name, (2) given name, (3) affiliation (school, company, etc.), (4) position (teacher, researcher, etc.), (5) address, (6) phone/fax number, and (7) which session you will attend: morning, afternoon, or both. Send the requested information by e-mail to register@linguapax-asia.org or fax 0463-84-2504 (international: +81-463-84-2504) between 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. JST.  

If you would like to attend the Reception (3,000 yen), please make a reservation when you pre-register. Please pay when you sign in at the symposium.

Can I park my car at the embassy?

The Canadian Embassy does not have parking available to the public.

How can I get to the embassy?

The Canadian Embassy is located at 7-3-38 Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo 107-8503 and is accessible via the Toei Oedo, Tokyo Metro Ginza, and Tokyo Metro Hanzomon lines. The closest subway station is Aoyama-itchome. Take Exit No. 4 and walk about 5 minutes in the direction of Akasaka. Are cloak and baggage storage services available?

Please keep your belongings with you. Cloak and baggage storage services will not be available.

Where can I have lunch?

There are variety of Japanese and ethnic restaurants near the embassy. Except for drinks during the coffee break periods, food and beverages will not be available at the symposium. According to embassy policy, drinks are allowed only in the lobby area. Please refrain from smoking and consuming food on the premises.

Where will the reception be held?

The reception will be held at Budoya Restaurant located on the first floor of OAG Haus (German Culture Center), a short walk from the Canadian Embassy (map). If you would like to attend, please make a reservation when you pre-register. Please pay (3,000 yen) when you sign in at the symposium.
