And this is the most terrible thing: Every morning and evening, students and teachers have the extra club activities, such as, soccer, basketball, baseball, volleyball, and so forth. Every morning it starts about 7 a.m. and ends about 4(winter time) or 6:30(summer time)p.m. In summer the longest students' school-stay amounts to about 12 hours in total.......into the bargain, most of students go to the clamming school to pass the high school entrance exam. Can you imagine how long students work at school ?

Of course it's not only for students , but teachers conditions are worse, too. Especially male young or middle aged teacher are much worse.......Because naturally students get frustration out of many busy school works and others(after school works, say, clamming school, community sports.....), and then they sometimes get upset and behave in a bad manner, finally bullying will occur in the classroom, in such case a young male teacher will be available to scold students with a fierce look on his face.

You understand ? Japanese schools have many problems in its education system. All problems result from the education system, I guess.

The subject number of the week

Mother tongue Social Studies Math Science Music Fine Art P.E. Technique and domestic science education English Optional courses Moral education Homeroom-guidance Total

n.b.

Generally about English lesson number of the week, "3" is the most popular, we give "optional course" to the 2nd and 3rd students when a school adopt English optional course all grades have just 3 lessons in the week.

In Japan "mother tongue" includes the old Chinese letters , and social studies on junior high level includes "history and geography".

"homeroom guidance" means teacher's introduction and guidance of school daily life, and how to decide the future course and select a high school.
