Ancient Chinese astronomers made original constellations. They were over hundred.
Around zodical line, Chinese astronomers made 28 constellations to observe lunar positions. They are call as "28 mantions".
Today I created .TDF file and .UOV file of 28-mantions. Download this zip file, then unzip to Guide's directory. It include "28mantion.tdf", "28mantions.dat", and "Consl_c_1.uov".
To Chinese Guide user.
You can _edit_ the "28mantion.dat" file to replace 28-mantion's name from English to Chinese word.
The AstDys(Asteroids-Dynamics Site) provide great observation data of a lots of asteroids.
To use them for Find_Orb software, I created Excel-VBA convert program. You can download it from below.
Converted file is same format for Find_Orb. But Find_Orb doesn't work fine as I expect. Please Try it.
On Jun. 8 in 2004, Vunus transits the Sun. People through Japan to Europe can see this event.
If we know where venus enter the Sun, it will help us to observe 1st and 2nd contact.
So I create sunspot file for Guide. (planet00.gaz) You can download this file, then unzip to Guide directory.
Now you can see the sunspots on the sun.
Guide can display equatorial grid. But Guide can't display Equator and Eclipcit line. I created files for them.
Equator.uov(892byte)
Ecliptic.uov(892byte)
And Guide can display Milkyway outline. But it confuse me. So I created simple Milkyway outline .uov file.
In attension, my Milkyway outline does NOT much Guide's Milkyway.
Milkyway.uov(55kbyte)
"JARI's ASTRONOMY SITE" had some sample images and animation files dreating by Guide. But they were deleted already (probably)
I put some animation files on my site.
Rotating Earth (64kB)
Lunar phase (17kB)
Big Dipper (82kB)
Big Dipper (GIF) (305kB, Created using 111 GIF files.)
Big Dipper (MPG) (648kB, Converted upper .gif file.)
I created .etb file to display asteroidal occultations in 2001, using Win Occult software.
It includes 860 events, but some predictions are not happen (Not Occult) in the Guide7, though all events are on the list.
You can choice your interestead events, can edit them, and can distribute if you want.
Projectpluto put "henden.tdf" to display henden datasets.
This .tdf file include 3 datasets, but there are over handred henden datasets, and when you add henden data, you need to edit this .tdf file.
I created Excel program to create "henden.tdf" automatically.
They are .etb files to display Lunar Occultations for 6 major city in Japan.
Each zip files include 5 prediction files. They are for year 2001 to 2005.
