Butterfly Society of Japan
Hello! I was selected as the new president (2011-2013) last June. As the last president Dr. YATA Osamu did, I also would like to do my best to encourage our society more globally open. Especially our society is seeking good relationship and collaboration with Asian countries. As the first project on this respect, our society started the joint research on butterfly fauna of Bhutan with Bhutanese government from last summer. I need warm help and understanding from all of the BSJ members. On our journal Butterflies we will make every effort to make it much more interesting. As Japan is facing an extremely aging society, our society is also resisting the trend. I will try my best to make our society sustainable and prosperous.

Thank you for your kind help.
