In Currumbin Sanctuary, Palm Beach, QLD, Australia (Feb. 27, 1997).

@This bird resembles Japanese kingfisher, but it has a striking whitish-brown in its underparts.
@A bird called Azure Kingfisher is very much like this bird, and also characterized in violet-blue of its back, but has brown all over the underparts and whitish-pink in the legs.
